New portrait work. April/May 2017
It’s been a busy, productive and creative couple of weeks. Got to shoot some interesting people. And some Belgian pop stars for a sponsorship event organised by Orange France. Puggy. They’ll go far. Or further than the massive popularity they already enjoy in Belgium and France. International stardom beckons. Stay tuned. And yes, they are as nice – and as talented – as everyone says they are.
Thanks also to Laura Groeseneken, singer and keyboards with another talented Belgian band Ozark Henry. She has the voice of an angel and the feathers to match.
Blonde-haired Laura Stecca we spotted in a bar in Brussels and my friend and colleague Graziella Boggiano was good enough to broach the delicate subject of requesting a photoshoot. She agreed enthusiastically. Laura is from Venice, Italy and, hopefully, I captured some of the style and grace she has in common with her famous city.
Thanks again to my agent Jean-Claude Meert for making things happen and a big shout-out to an old friend and extremely talented photographer, Thierry Van Biesen, at https://www.ooshot.com Paris, for recommending me for the Puggy Orange France photoshoot. Onwards and upwards.

Thrills and Mystery from the Mobile Camera Club in Paris.
Delighted to have my ‘Doppelgänger’ iPhone image shot recently in Malta selected for the Paris Mobile Camera Club’s theme – Thriller and Mystery. As usual, some great work on display here from the mobile photography community dotted around the globe. Thanks to Nad iPhoneographer in Paris, and Roger Guetta in Montreal for the energy devoted to preparing and showcasing the work.

The Mobile Camera Club Gallery Paris. Slideshow based on the theme of “Community”.
Pleased that my work is showcased alongside many great photographs for the Mobile Camera Club Gallery’s theme ‘Community’. Thx Nad – appreciate my selection. My image was taken at this year’s Bicentenary Battle of Waterloo re-ennactment here in Belgium. It appears at the end and is titled ‘Weekend Warriors’. L’exposition David Bowie à Paris. Sneaky photos by Sean Hayes
I’m a huge fan of the Thin White Duke. He needs no introduction. His amazingly prolific creativity across many decades and mediums speaks for itself eloquently. The travelling exhibition of his blockbuster V&A archive show at the Philharmonie de Paris/ Cité de la Musique, Paris includes over 300 objects including handwritten lyrics, original costumes, photography, set designs, album artwork and rare performance material from the past five decades. I recommend a visit. Even though photography was ‘interdit’, I still managed to capture a few snaps with my iPhone. Rebel Rebel 🙂 If you would like to see more of my mobile music photography, please visit: http://seanhayesmusicphotography.tumblr.com
